Wise dervishes knew a lot about seclusion from the hustle and bustle and turn to the eternal - in such a place it’s easy to think about anything else! Contrasting Bosnia - did you know that one of the main saints of the Serbian Orthodox Church - Vasily Ostrogsky, who founded the famous Ostrog Monastery, was born in Bosnia in a small village not far from monastery Tvrdoshsurrounded by kilometers of grapes? So, during a two-day tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina We:

1. Let's visit the famous Tvrdos monastery and its wine cellars, and we will be able to take home a piece of the work of the Tvrdoš monks. In addition to a number of shrines, the Tvrdos Monastery is famous for its wine cellars of the 15th century, where the monks produce wines of the Vranac variety and others (including sweet wine) and even their own cognac from their own grapes - these cellars are open for visiting and tasting.

2. Let's visit the house where Vasily Ostrozhsky was born, and find out why St. Basil ended up in Montenegro!

3. Let's visit medieval fortress town Pochitel, hanging over the turquoise waters of the Neretva, in the past the main city of the Dubrava principality, built Bosnian king Stepan Tvrtko back in 1383! The modern town of Pochitel has lost its administrative functions, it is included in the list of world cultural heritage UNESCO, about 700 residents live here, who are happy to open their doors to inquisitive tourists!

4. Let's admire famous Kravice waterfalls, according to some reviews surpassing the beauty of Niagara Falls!

Как приятно освежиться в чистейших водопадах!

5. Let's visit the famous city of Mostar (very Turkish in mood). Many call Mostar the most beautiful city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Located on the rocky banks of the Neretva River, Mostar is interesting for the close proximity of two religions - until recently, one side was considered the Croatian side, and the other - the Bosnian side. Accordingly, Catholics lived on one side, and Muslims on the other. And even today, on the “Muslim” side, everything resembles the Arab countries - trading shops with dishes sparkling in the sun, costume jewelry, belly dance costumes and colored scarves fluttering in the wind are found at literally every step. The main attraction of Mostar is the Old Turkish City. The visiting card of the city is the Stari-bridge, arching its steep back 20 meters above the green waters of the Neretva. The Old Bridge was built by the architect Mimar Khairuddin in 1566 and is now one of the main architectural monuments of the country, protected by UNESCO. Like many centuries ago, local boys jump down from this bridge for fun for tourists for little money.

6. Let's visit the village of Blagay and the monastery of the Dervishes (Tekke) at the source of the Buna River, a very interesting and beautiful place, all in the mountains. Tekke is a kind of monastery or, more correctly, a guest house of wandering Sufi monks. On the Buna river you can go boating and swim into the caves, there are also small waterfalls, and, of course, many Turkish-style cafes in the shade of trees to the sound of the murmur of the water of a mountain river - very nice on hot days. The medieval fortress Herceg Stjepan, the former residence of Duke Stepen Vukchich, is located on the high cliffs overlooking the village of Blagaj. A winding path leads here, along which you can reach the fortress in 45 minutes.

Мы отведаем традиционный боснийский кофе с классичсекой восточной сладостью - рахат-лукумом!

Узнайте разницу между сталактитами и сталагмитами и уст опытных спелеологов!
