Welcome to Ulcinj, the southernmost resort in Montenegro! Ulcinj is famous for many things: famous for its long, flawless sandy beaches, which are not found anywhere else in Montenegro, for its old town - a well-preserved fortress surrounded by the sea, turbulent history and unique culture.
\nIt\u2019s +35 on the street, and we were not so much interested in history and culture as in the famous \u201cVelika Plazha\u201d (which in Russian means \u201cBig Beach\u201d), which is located beyond Ulcinj towards Albania. Having stocked up on water and swimwear, we plunged into the car and went for reconnaissance \ud83d\ude42 From Kotor to Ulcinj, the route is simple - along the coast along the Jadran Put, through Budva, Petrovac and Bar, the distance is approx. 90 km. The signs are easy to navigate, easily reached without navigators and maps. Velika Beach is located outside the city, so we passed it and drove further following the signs towards the Beach. We came across several bundles to the right with the names of local beaches, in the end we ended up on Mojito Beach, one of the equipped areas along the coast.<\/p>\n

After running and swimming, we got hungry and went to the Old Town of Ulcinj for lunch \ud83d\ude42 Finding a shade under the canopy of the restaurant Terra Promessa<\/em>, we decided that we could master something more serious than just drinks and, succumbing to a charming waiter, we were tempted by fresh fish (by the way, the waiter turned out to be the owner\u2019s son, and the restaurant was a family one, at the end of our meal we were introduced to the founder of the institution, from whom we received a local dessert). Looking ahead, I will say that the fish turned out excellent and was served with a rich side dish. As usual, I post photos for your attention and quote prices.<\/p>\n

Albanian dessert - kadaif (kadaif) - which was presented to us as a gift by the owner of the restaurant. In fact, a \u201ccake\u201d made of something similar to Chinese noodles with a layer of fatty cream<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

While we were waiting for the fish, we went to inspect the restaurant, the restaurant was entertaining, sea finds, nets, skeletons of crabs and so on were hung and placed everywhere. In the meantime, our glass of wine overturned due to the wind \ud83d\ude41 We were immediately transferred to another table with a clean tablecloth, brought new wine and ... a glass of raki as a present from the owner for the inconvenience caused. The ladies were served a softer lemon brandy - the taste is awesome, in addition to the lemon there was a little yolk, I never drank anything tastier in this high-grade range! We sat and enjoyed the sea view, pleasant sea breeze and excellent cuisine in the national restaurant in Ulcinj. Highly recommend! It was not possible to explore the city itself in detail, because it was too hot, it seems that sightseeing will have to be postponed until autumn \ud83d\ude42 In the meantime, testing the beaches in Montenegro \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
