The very first local fruits that we tried in early spring were kiwi and oranges. I remember we bought a box of kiwi either for 2 or 3 euros. Local oranges very meaty and sweet.
In June, I first went strawberry - fragrant and tasty; cost about 3 euros per kilogram. Then came the astonishing cherries - not so gigantic, which, I remember, was brought to us from Kazakhstan, but of ordinary size, but sooo tasty. Once, friends brought a small bucket of this cherry from their acquaintances - they, they say, do not need it, because. this year it is kind of small and not tasty. Here we are! We accepted it with great pleasure that same evening. In general, when the markets were already closed, it could be bought for 2-2.5 euros / kg. But it is a pity that she quickly departed. Immediately after it appeared cherry, which is still on sale - it is, however, for some reason more expensive - about 4 euros per kg. Toward July, the first apricots (price - from 1.5 to 2.5 euros) and masusenkie pears, juicy and tasty (about the same price). Well, then went the most beautiful in the world peaches! Now they can be purchased at any counter for 1.5 euros. I like the ones that are small and dark purple in color. I have never eaten such delicious peaches. Their flesh is yellow and the juice is pink. I don't even know what I'll do when they leave!

Fruits of Montenegro - see prices 🙂

Now also on sale melons and watermelons. I don’t really like melons, they are some kind of hybrid of melon with pumpkin - fragrant, the flesh is bright yellow, but not sweet. And watermelons are even nothing, and their price is good - 20 cents per kg.
Also, I recently found out that mangoturns out to be a sweet fruit! I sometimes bought it when we lived in Siberia, firstly, it is super expensive there, and secondly, it is completely unsweetened. Ripe mango tastes like a cross between a peach and a pineapple! This is such an interesting combination!
Among other things, now on sale plums, apples, raspberries, blackberries and even blueberries.
But most of all I'm waiting for maturation figs (figs). Now green figs are sold, but they are so-so - not as juicy and sweet as we would like. Therefore I wait for scarlet figs; I hope they will be no worse than Russian figs, which can be found in the south of our country during the season! The fig tree (fig tree) grows everywhere here, so I hope you won’t have to buy figs in the market, but you can collect them yourself 🙂

Mmm, vegetables… Fresh asparagus for exotic lovers!

Let me touch on the most pleasant and sweet topic - the fruits of Montenegro!
