How nice it was to return to warm, cozy and small Montenegro.<br \/>\nIn Moscow, quite by accident we got to the light show, which took place on the Kremlin square. Montenegro isn&#039;t leaving us here! \ud83d\ude42 Try to find that phrase in the photo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/monteonline.ru\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/dsc_0196.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2552 noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2552 size-large\" title=\"Light show in Moscow\" src=\"https:\/\/monteonline.ru\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/dsc_0196.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"664\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Everyone likes to use the hackneyed phrase about Russia&#039;s downsides: &quot;fools and roads.&quot; After our trip, I&#039;d rephrase it as &quot;drunks and roads.&quot; Having lived in Montenegro for over six months, we had something to compare it to. For the first time, I clearly saw how many people drink in Russia. They&#039;re literally everywhere. We were &quot;lucky&quot; enough to take a bus from Moscow to Saratov, and the entire way we were surrounded by a horde of drunks who tried to entertain us with funny videos from their phones all night long. Brrr!<br \/>\nI don&#039;t recall seeing a single drunk in Montenegro (well, I&#039;m not counting the few drunk Russian tourists :) )! I think this is Russia&#039;s main problem: people drink too much and don&#039;t want to work. That&#039;s why all the villages here are dying. Drive through Montenegrin villages: neat houses, clean meadows, beautiful roads; but the people here are no richer than Russians, and the government, like the Russian one, doesn&#039;t really help.<br \/>\nMontenegrins love to drink brandy, some even drink it in the morning, afternoon and evening, but one glass at a time.<br \/>\nA Montenegrin friend of ours said: \u201cWhy do you Russians not drink for a whole week, and then get so drunk on the weekend that you don\u2019t remember anything?\u201d \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/monteonline.ru\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/dsc_01232.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2557 noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2557 size-full\" title=\"Drunkenness in Russia\" src=\"https:\/\/monteonline.ru\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/dsc_01232.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"266\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The weather in Montenegro is great right now, sunny every day but not too hot, so now is the best time to explore the country!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We returned from Russia a week ago.
