We returned from Russia a week ago. How nice it was to return to warm, cozy and small Montenegro.

Everyone likes to use the hackneyed phrase about Russia's downsides: "fools and roads." After our trip, I'd rephrase it as "drunks and roads." Having lived in Montenegro for over six months, we had something to compare it to. For the first time, I clearly saw how many people drink in Russia. They're literally everywhere. We were "lucky" enough to take a bus from Moscow to Saratov, and the entire way we were surrounded by a horde of drunks who tried to entertain us with funny videos from their phones all night long. Brrr!
\nI don't recall seeing a single drunk in Montenegro (well, I'm not counting the few drunk Russian tourists :) )! I think this is Russia's main problem: people drink too much and don't want to work. That's why all the villages here are dying. Drive through Montenegrin villages: neat houses, clean meadows, beautiful roads; but the people here are no richer than Russians, and the government, like the Russian one, doesn't really help.
\nMontenegrins love to drink brandy, some even drink it in the morning, afternoon and evening, but one glass at a time.
\nA Montenegrin friend of ours said: \u201cWhy do you Russians not drink for a whole week, and then get so drunk on the weekend that you don\u2019t remember anything?\u201d \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
