Last week, we chose a new picnic area for ourselves, unity with nature and friendly communication on the occasion of the arrival of our next relatives to visit us 🙂

We present to your attention the fortress Kosmach (Tvrđava Kosmač) of the times of the Austro-Hungarian rule in Montenegro, which served as a border point between the territory of Montenegro (in the mountains) and Austria-Hungary (on the coast), the years of construction of the fortress are considered 1841-1850. Kosmach fortress is located on the way from Budva to Cetinje and belongs to the village of Braichi (Brajići) at an altitude of about 800 meters above sea level. To get here, set off from the coast from the fork in Cetinje, which is between Budva and Becici (she’s the only one there, you won’t be mistaken!), About 30 minutes of the way along the mountain serpentine without turning, and from the road you will see a proudly towering fortress. Pay attention to the signs - your goal is the village of Braichi (Brajići), there is also a brown sign for the fortress (Tvrđava Kosmač) on the way. If you are coming from the Budva-Becici side, then turn off the road to the right, in the right place there will be a large poster describing mountain trails in several languages, look for red dots right there in the area - they will tell you that you are on the right track - this is a special mountain convention system. Go straight along these points, and in 15 minutes you will already be at the walls of the fortress!

Adventure lovers are invited to explore the fortress and nearby mountain routes, lovers of eating in nature - to the fire pit, but lovers of nature itself and dizzying views - to contemplate almost the entire Budva Riviera - from the island of Sveti Stefan to the Jaz beach and the Grbal valley, through which to pass road to Kotor. Bon appetit and unforgettable holidays in Montenegro!

Fortress Kosmach of the times of Austria-Hungary, 1841-1850, 800 meters above sea level - breathtaking views of the Budva Riviera, clean air and the spirit of adventure!

View of the Budva Riviera from the Kosmach fortress - it is impossible to resist taking pictures!

Red dots will lead you to the place - look for them on rocks, trees and pillars

Fortress Kosmach, Braichi village, Montenegro

We continue publishing ideas for your holiday in Montenegro: why not go on a small picnic with a view of the sea and the mountain?
