This year, December visitors to Montenegro are invited to the Olive Harvest Festival in Bar on December 5th. The traditional celebration will take place near the walls of Bar's old town, featuring folk music groups \u2013 (\u2013), traditional Montenegrin clothing, and traditional songs. You can also visit the old town of Bar, where admission is free on this day! And of course, sample homemade olives in a variety of sauces and seasonings, prepared by Bar's artisans. At any counter, you'll be treated to traditional \u2013 prigani\u010de (\u2013 prigani\u010de) buns with honey and cheese, and offered a glass of rakija or even limoncello!<\/p>\n

The swimming season in Montenegro has ended, and now those who enjoy long walks and sightseeing are enjoying their vacations, especially since the summer heat doesn't hinder them. And, of course, foodies! Winter in Montenegro means numerous festivals celebrating national food and folklore, such as the Chestnut Festival in Stoliv (Kotor), held in early November; the Wine and Bleak Festival, held in December in Virpazar; and one of the most colorful festivals is Maslinijada, the olive harvest festival held in Bar at the end of November. That's what we'll be talking about!<\/p>\n

You can purchase your favorites. At any counter, you'll be treated to traditional \u2013 priganici (bread rolls) with honey and cheese, or you'll be served rakija or even limoncello! Imagine, the Bar owners make their own homemade lemon liqueur, or limoncello (\u2013), because citrus fruits (\u2013) are Bar's signature flavor. Starting in October, tangerines, then oranges, and finally lemons begin to spread along the Montenegrin coast from Bar! Hurry and try them! A kilogram of fragrant, home-grown tangerines will cost just 0.50 cents! You can also sample traditional desserts, pastries, and olive paste, and purchase the famous olive oil at a reasonable price of \u2013, thanks to the 2015 olive harvest!<\/p>\n

The monteonline team always plans to visit Masliniada to take the best olive oil with them and recharge with a great mood, but for now I offer a photo report on Masliniada from last year - photos will be more eloquent than any words!
