I met the Monteonline company by chance, while searching on the Internet for an organizer of a hiking trip in Montenegro. The request was sent late in the evening and a few minutes later received a detailed response from an employee named Marina. From that moment on, Marina did not leave me a chance to look for another guide. What I and my friendly company have never regretted in the future.
Since I have been to Montenegro many times, I knew the country visually, mainly from the side of roads, and I was in different countries on foot trips, I set out my wishes regarding the organization of a trip in Montenegro in such a way that I could walk through historical places and difficult paths and that the routes were not short.
We must pay tribute to Marina, she made a 3-day hike taking into account all my interests, not forgetting to take into account that our company includes two teenagers 12 and 13 years old.
We settled in Kotor and hiked for the first two days directly from Kotor. On the third day, Marina appointed a starting point on the Lustica peninsula.
It makes no sense to describe the beauty of Montenegro, you can find a lot of information and photos about this both on the Monteonline website and on the Internet in general.
Once again I would like to note the professionalism of Marina.
We really walked through historical places, saw ancient fortresses, military barracks, looked inside these buildings, which made our teenagers delighted, imagining themselves as participants in former battles.
At the same time, we went through really difficult paths, we had to climb boulders and climb peaks, which is why I myself already enjoyed it.
And all this was accompanied by Marina's constant comments on history. Montenegro and specific events in the places of our passage. I don’t know how she was able to study the history of Montenegro for such a short time in the country, but her good knowledge in this part is a fact.
I especially liked the route along Lustica, although there are no difficult paths and rocky peaks. This is another beauty and another pleasure. I do not want to describe, go yourself ...
By the way, we walked Lustica around the entire peninsula in a day (only our teenagers had to be sent from the route by car, we were very tired).
Here I would like to mention Stanislav, another employee of Monteonline, who helped us out twice with his car. The first time we got caught in the pouring rain was already at the end of the route and his warm car was our salvation. The second time he rescued our teenagers, who fell completely exhausted on the seashore of Lustica.
A very attentive comrade ... Having taken our teenagers to a hotel in Kotor, he returned to Lustica on his other business. At the same time, a car drove past us. And since we were already walking back, my friend asked Stanislav: how much longer do we have to go approximately? Marina just smiled, and Stanislav said that it would be about 5 km to go, looking at Marina in a strange way.
In the future, we appreciated Stanislav's humor, because we walked at least 10 km more ....
In the future, I planned a trip to Durmitor. There is no doubt that I will use the help of Marina.
