This morning we went to the local market, hoping to see locals selling local produce (as they had yesterday, Saturday). However, there wasn't really anyone there. 🙂 According to the lone vendors from whom we managed to buy fresh barbecue meat, local olives, bell peppers, rosemary, and oregano, "Saturday is Saturday." But we also discovered, quite by chance, that there would be a carnival at 2 PM today!
It turns out that this carnival is like our carnival, when people say goodbye to winter. Only here it has its own peculiarities: in the procession, in addition to young people dressed in carnival costumes, there were sad-looking ladies in all black - in this way the whole city said goodbye to all the bad things that happened last year.
In general, see photos.
