Today in Kotor it's cloudy again, with variable precipitation. I'm tired of sitting at home. I remembered reading in a guidebook that there's a nice beach on the Adriatic nearby, –, in a place called Bigova, about a 15-minute drive from Kotor. We decided to go and explore Bigova before the beach season. The turnoff for Bigova is on the familiar E65 highway to Budva. On the right, an arrow with the sign "Bigova" and a little floating man clearly indicated the right turn. As is often the case in Montenegro, we had to negotiate several steep mountain turns before we crossed the pass separating us from the sea, and a tiny bay – came into view. Having consulted Google Maps beforehand, we unmistakably recognized this as Bigova. Having safely driven through the narrow streets, designed for no more than one car, without meeting anyone, we found ourselves, apparently, on the central embankment.

True, we did not find sun loungers here and even sand, and even pebbles, which, by the way, did not really surprise us. We noticed that in the area of the Bay of Kotor, beaches are often understood as paved embankments, where, apparently, sun loungers will appear in the summer. So far, we have noticed only one fisherman and a lot of fishing tackle. There was a strong smell of fish everywhere. In Montenegro, in general, there are many fishermen from whom you can immediately buy fish. It's nice to see that fish in Montenegro is caught, and not just sold in a supermarket.

We passed the main promenade, and now it looks like there are local beaches in Bigov:

The shores are certainly beautiful – we'll see how vacationers will swim and sunbathe here in the summer 🙂

I'll finish the photo report with a photograph of a cow – in Montenegro. Such encounters are not uncommon. – are either goats, or cows, or lambs.
