In Montenegro, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and a healthy lifestyle in terms of nutrition and lifestyle (having lived in Montenegro for some time, I note the absence of general hypertension here, as in Russia, diabetes mellitus and overweight in middle age). What does the average Montenegrin require for longevity and good mood? Let's take fresh - not imported - vegetables and fruits (often fully or partially grown by ourselves or a neighbor), add homemade cheese, meat, butter, honey, climb up the mountain - and voila - the secret of health and longevity is revealed! If desired, you can add a glass of grape brandy or a glass of wine to cheer up.
The mountains are an excellent backdrop for keeping fit, in Montenegro very popular hiking, at will smoothly flowing into mountain climbing, which is called the imported word "hiking", and in Montenegrin "walking". In Montenegro, there are even playful competitions in speed walking in the mountains - for example, last Saturday on the mountain Lovcen (which is close to Cetinje) passed Third Lovcen Marathon, on which representatives of various ages and nationalities gathered from all over Montenegro and other countries to go who 7 (children's route), who 25, and who and all 42 kilometers along ancient mountain trails, surrounded by breathtaking views and pleasant company. In total, about 200 people took part in the marathon, who got T-shirts with the marathon symbols and unforgettable impressions as a keepsake. Many mountain trails are marked by volunteers and local hiking clubs, and these red-and-white dot markings make it easy to follow well-known trails - however, unaccompanied beginners should not embark on mountain adventures on their own. The team of our company also took part in the marathon, and in order not to be unfounded, I am attaching photos taken "along the way"! 🙂
