Montenegro never ceases to amaze - in the new season it is planned to open the famous Lipska Cave near Skadar Lake for tourists to visit. A bit of history: Lipskaya Cave was discovered by the famous English archaeologist Austin Henry Layard (Lejard), who specialized in the study of the Middle East, who first mentions Lipskaya Cave in his writings in 1839. The cave was explored to a depth of 3512 meters, of which about 2 will be open to tourists km. The Lipska Cave is a system of corridors and halls that got their names, for example, the most beautiful hall of the cave is named after the famous Montenegrin ruler and philosopher Njegos. The indescribable aesthetic charm of the cave is made up of underground rivers, lakes, and, of course, stalactites and stalagmites of various shapes and sizes, which only nature could create!
Now the final work on the construction of steps, handrails and the installation of spotlights for lighting is in full swing, the official opening of the cave for visitors is scheduled for June 5, and the monteonline team has already visited the Lipska Cave! A small photo report is attached! 🙂
