My today's opus is dedicated to grief Belasitsa V Montenegro, on the territory of which the Biogradska Gora nature reserve is located. I confess honestly, in the reserve Biogradska Gora until last week, I was only once three years ago, when we arrived at the famous lake - Lake Biograd, which has nothing to do with Belgrade, as many people think as a result of the consonance of names. Finally, on the last weekend, I had the opportunity to join the local climbing club on a hike to the highest point of this very Belasitsa - Crna Chapter (i.e. "Black Head") at an altitude of 2,139 m above sea level. You can’t even talk about the beauty of these places; it’s not without reason that at the end of the 19th century the area around Lake Biograd was defined by Prince Nikola as a natural reserve. Now Biogradskoe Lake is among 630 sq. m. forests belong to the Biogradska Gora National Park, because it is one of only (!) Two (!) Primordial forests preserved in Europe, because 22 species of plants grow on the territory of the reserve, which grow only in the Balkans and nowhere else in the world, because a number of endangered species of birds and animals live on the territory of the reserve, such as golden eagle, hawk, European roe deer and others, because the surface of the mountain is decorated with the so-called "mountain eyes" - glacial lakes, of which there are already 6 in Belasitsa! The largest of them is the greenish Biogradsko Lake - this lake is the most easily accessible for tourists to visit. Wooden bungalows are built along the banks of the lake, where you can spend the night in unique ecological conditions. In winter, Belasitsa attracts winter sports enthusiasts thanks to the ski resort Kolasin 1450, and in the summer - lovers hiking, hiking, jeep safari in Montenegro and just connoisseurs of nature, photographers, and of course connoisseurs of healthy food - after all, only in the mountains you can taste the purest cheese, milk and meat. Every year, the tourist trails of Belasitsa attract thousands of fans to wander with a backpack on their shoulders and with a guitar in their hands, sing songs by the fire and admire the real starry sky, which is so rarely seen nowadays. I offer you my small photo selection of views of Belasitsa 🙂 We invite you to our mountain hikes in Montenegro 🙂 See you soon and enjoy watching!
