чевапи

Yesterday my husband had a birthday, and based on the fact that we didn’t have much time to buy (and we weren’t going to, anyway, no one can come to visit from other cities) and the fact that I only had minced meat in the refrigerator, I decided to make chevapi (or chevapchichi), which I haven't done myself for a couple of years. Now there is a lot of time, so I began to revive my culinary abilities. Cevapi is made very simply, and the ingredients you will need are:

- Minced meat (beef + pork, 1 kg),

- Salt to taste

- Pepper to taste

- Onion - finely chopped (1 large or 2 small onions),

- Soda - half a teaspoon.

All ingredients must be mixed and kneaded for at least 10 minutes until the minced meat sticks to your hands. Put the minced meat in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, but even better at night. Form sausages and fry on the grill or in a frying pan (of course, chevapies are more fragrant on the grill, but in the absence of a grill, you can also use a frying pan). Cevapi is usually served with fresh onions and a side dish - I cooked potatoes with rosemary in the oven. It turned out very tasty!
