At the beginning of the summer I wrote about our first experience visiting neighboring Croatiaespecially Dubrovnik. It's no secret that our compatriots go to Dubrovnik, which is an hour's drive from the largest city of Herceg Novi closest to the Croatian border, not only for impressions, but also for the sake of a stamp in their passport. In Montenegro, Russian tourists can stay visa-free for three months a year, the maximum single stay is one month. Those who want to spend the whole summer in Montenegro are forced to travel to neighboring countries for a day for a stamp to count the new month and often go to Croatian Dubrovnik for this.
Мы же в очередной поехали в Дубровник с нашими гостями из России, которые, осмотрев большое число достопримечательностей Черногории, пожелали лицезреть и Дубровник. Скажу сразу на этот раз Дубровник нам понравился больше. Часть дороги после границы по-прежнему не завершена и покрыта крупным щебнем – в результате из-под колес обгонявшей нас машины нам прилетел камень и оставил скол на лобовом стекле. Обидно 🙁 День в Дубровнике оказался солнечным и сухим в отличие от затянутого тучами Бока-Которского залива, чему мы были рады. Второе, что нас порадовало, были цены – так как высокий сезон закончился (на дворе стояло 13 октября) даже цены на парковку стали ниже, на улице можно встать за 5 кунов в час (!) – сущие копейки (около 80 евроцентов). На этот раз мы были умнее и не стали парковаться на подземной парковке, туда ведут все указатели в Дубровнике (Public Parking). Как выяснилось, жители Дубровника не особо жалуют черногорцев, и особенно их автомобили с регистрацией в городе Герцег Нови (об этом вам скажут две первые букве на номерном знаке HN0000). Это дела давно минувших дней, но есть беспредельщики, которые с удовольствием покарябают такую машину в отмщение за бомбардировку Дубровника в 1991 в ходе Балканской войны (об этом читайте Here).
This time the people subsided a little, it was not so hot, and we had a pleasant company 🙂
We recommend taking a boat ride around the old town and neighboring islands. There are such boats on the pier near the old town that leave regularly. We paid 10 euros per person for a 50-minute walk, which we did not regret at all, the views were excellent.
At lunch we found a pizzeria where we tasted local pizza with prosciutto at a very affordable price - 2 euros per piece, the same prices on the coast in Montenegro. After a walk around the old town and a mini-cruise, on the advice of one Montenegrin woman, we went to the Lapad peninsula (it is located a little northwest of the old town, it is part of modern Dubrovnik), you can easily find it on any map, it is easy to navigate by city signs.
Here we plunged into the silence and tranquility of the Lapad bay, walking and watching the fishermen who were catching a rather large mullet. On the way back, we found a Croatian winery, where we were lured by a free tasting 🙂 The tasting was really free, but here our friends found gifts that they had been looking for for a long time, buying unique liqueurs that are produced only in this winery. Local winemakers told us in detail about the rules of wine production and gave us a taste of juice, wine in the process of fermentation and finished bottled wine.
