Friends, I'd like to introduce you to small and cozy Montenegro, or more precisely, its lesser-known destinations. Many tourists (especially Russian-speaking ones) prefer to vacation in well-trodden spots like Budva, Bečići, Rafailovići, Petrovac, Herceg Novi, and, for a couple of days, Kotor. But Montenegro is home to many small villages, where a vacation can be much more interesting and truly enjoyable. Sure, there won't be supermarkets or a huge number of restaurants, but that's nothing to be afraid of—you can always rent a car or take a taxi and easily travel to the big city. So, what are the advantages of vacationing in such places?
– Peace and quiet – here you won’t be “enjoying” the catchy tunes of local songs coming from the nearest restaurant until the morning;
– Fewer people and therefore less risk for your children – During the season, rotavirus infections are common in crowded places, which very quickly stick to children while they are frolicking on the beach;
– Indescribable, untouched beauty surrounding you on all sides;
– Clean sea and cozy, small beaches, where the population density per square meter is NOT one thousand one hundred and fifty people 🙂
– Here you can truly feel the spirit of Montenegro – stroll through the streets, dream by the sea, talk to the locals in the nearest cafe;
– In these small villages, you can sample authentic, delicious, and inexpensive Montenegrin cuisine, which is designed not only for tourists but also for locals.
So, I won't bore you any longer and will move on to the first example –: the village of Morinj and the adjacent Kostanjica! 🙂
