Peninsula Lustica, Montenegro (see on Montenegro map) - surrounded Adriatic Sea one side and Tivat Bay of the Bay of Kotor, the last least built-up section of the Montenegrin coast. Olive groves and private wineries, sandy beaches and cliffs, ancient secluded villages and pristine beaches, rich history and unique flora - all this is just an incomplete list of the delights of green Lustica.

The Lustica peninsula stands apart from the resorts of the Montenegrin coast. The border position of the peninsula, which was the first to come under enemy fire at the entrance to Bay of Kotor, as well as the fact that it is connected to the land only in one place (at the entrance to Tivat), the Luštica peninsula has historically not attracted a large number of inhabitants. Most of the ancient villages are now concentrated in the depths of the island, at the foot of green hills under the shade of olives - these are, for example, Radovichi and Marovichi. These villages also have private rentals, but you will not find a sea view in them, and your house is much more likely to look out over an olive grove or an old grape press. Such views are for true romantics! The owner of such a house, for sure, will offer you homemade raki or wine, as well as home-made olive oil, which fans of eco-tourism will appreciate. But don't let the distance from the sea fool you. Stock up on bicycles or rent a car, and in 15 minutes you will be on the cleanest beaches of the Adriatic - at your disposal are Plavi Horizonti, Oblatno, Zhanitsa, Mirishte and other bays. Plavi Horizonti and Oblatno beaches are located near the village Radovici, and the beaches of Zhanitsa, Mirishte are not far from Marovici.

Beaches Oblatno and Plavi Horizonti are located in bays overlooking the open sea, and unlike most of the beaches of Montenegro, they are covered with fine white sand. The gently sloping entrance, sand, clear water and magnificent views make these beaches an ideal holiday destination for children and adults. In Oblatno Bay there is one of the most “fashionable” equipped beaches in Montenegro - ALMARA BEACH, Almara beach, where trendy DJs perform all summer long and the best parties on the coast are held.

The beaches of Mirishta and Zhanitsa - these are two bays in the neighborhood, literally 200 meters from each other (Adriatic, open sea), are considered one of the cleanest beaches in Montenegro, they have a small-pebble coating. Mirishta beach offers a magnificent view of the military island Mamula fortress, built by the Austrians in the 19th century and actively used during the Second World War as a prison. Now the fortress is in disrepair and is of particular interest to sophisticated travelers due to its inaccessibility and abandoned charm 🙂 On any beach, you can rent a kayak and go on an independent exploration of the coast, dotted with caves. One of the most famous caves in the Zhanitsy area is "Blue Lagoon".

If you want to live as close to the sea as possible, then there is such a place on Lustica. Popular tourist villages right on the coast are Krasici and Rose. Krasici (Krašići) and Rose overlook the Tivat Bay. Modern Krasici is perhaps the most popular settlement among tourists in the Tivat Bay, the village is located on a slope, and the houses of the first line go directly to the sea, many have their own piers and platforms for swimming and sunbathing. From Krasici there is a beautiful view of the peninsula prevlaka and on islet Gospa od Milo with a convent and the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary (XV century).
