We will go to the sparsely populated, but very beautiful Lustica peninsula. Here at every turn - beautiful olive groves, untouched wildlife and many military fortresses! Literally a hundred years ago, Lustica was the first to come under enemy fire, because. it is located right at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, where these scoundrels aspired to.
This trip will be exciting for both girls and boys, and for their parents! You can’t even talk about grandparents - they will be the first to run to conquer the fortress! 🙂
So what are you up to?
Swimming in the blue cave!
Whoever is not afraid to swim into a cave will find himself in an unusual realm with bright blue water! You'll have to guess why she's so blue here!
Conquest of the Mysterious Mamula Fortress!
This is one of the most famous and well-preserved defensive fortresses in Montenegro, which was built on the island of Lastavica off the coast of Lustica by the Austro-Hungarians, and named Mamula in honor of one of the soldiers who served in this fortress. Our adventure begins with an assault on the once impregnable fortress, to which we will stealthily sneak up on the water and land in one of the least visible points of the island. We will be able to wander around the fortress, from where we will have views of Croatia and the city of Herceg Novi, and it is great to imagine how difficult it was for the military to concentrate on the service, surrounded by such colorful views and the romantic sound of the surf! And the fortress itself contains many stories of the past within its walls.
- For parents only: if you want to tickle your nerves, we advise you to watch in advance the recently released horror film "Mamula", which was filmed just on this island!
- A puzzle for kids: there are a lot of hares hiding on the island. Find at least one and get a prize!
Visit an abandoned secret grotto for submarines and combat boats!
Walk through the fishing town of Rose!
After the successful conquest of the fortress, we go for a walk around the tiny fishing town of Rose, which houses the Austro-Hungarian fort - and now it houses a restaurant serving national cuisine. You are probably already pretty hungry, so in this restaurant we will arrange a small snack. Attention: this should be just a small snack, because. the main dinner awaits us elsewhere!
Dinner for the winners in the olive farm!
We sail from the town of Rose and head to the old olive farm, to visit the Stanich family, who will feed us a homemade dinner, tell and show us their olive groves, from which for several generations they have been making the best olive oil in the cellar of their 400-year-old house. You will try homemade olive oil, olives, olive oil cheeses, prosciutto and much more!
- A task for kids: feed the donkey Mishka 🙂
- A task for kids and parents: try to spin an old millstone and feel like a buttermaker of past centuries!
The tour is conducted on comfortable cars of the minivan or sedan class (depending on the number of people).
Important: take with you, just in case, pills for motion sickness; they are very helpful.
