So, let's continue our acquaintance with the Montenegrin/Serbian language. By the way, how exactly to call this language is not yet clear, because. the local population in this matter was divided into two camps: the first camp, consisting of immigrants from Serbia, stands up for "Serbian", the second camp, which considers itself true Montenegrins, speaks exclusively "Montenegrin". And in a conversation with the first or second group, if you use the wrong name for the language, i.e. that the Serbs speak Montenegrin, and the Montenegrins speak Serbian, they may be offended, and in the market they will definitely cheat you by sticking a rotten Paradise. So when talking, first find out which group your interlocutor belongs to by asking: “And what is your mother’s ezik?” 🙂 (you already know the translation of this phrase from the first article)
So, what else do I have lying around interesting? 🙂
1. Diarrhea - "pride"; eg: “I myself am a vile girl” - means “I am a proud girl”;
2. Shargarepa - carrot; however, it is worth leaving for another city, and there you already meet the familiar “mrkva” instead of shargarepa;
3. Udovitsa - does not mean that someone strangled himself, it's just a "widow";
4. Tea "Labuda" - turned out to be a completely normal herbal collection with the name "swan";
5. I'm crooked myself - does not mean that you are crooked, but simply that you are to blame for something;
6. Chowek - Human; probably from here we have the word "dude" 🙂;
7. Shame - a completely disgraceful "theater";
8. Budala - just a "fool" 🙂;
9. Storage - "food";
10. Crap - “lie” (If someone is screwing up, then he is cheating!);
11. Macka - cat; and "puss in boots" will be - "chizmam's machak";
12. Male name "Neboisha" - probably, all Neboishi are very brave and are not afraid of anything!;
13. There is a settlement between Budva and Bar "Skochidevoyka"; a legend about a girl who threw herself off the rocks because of unrequited love is associated with this place;
14. And on the road from Kotor to Herceg there is a settlement, the name of which consists of 4 consonants and should be pronounced quickly and without unnecessary inserts - "Strp";
15. We watched - "we met" (and nothing more!);
16. Cudgel - not a person who does not understand something, but just "depth";
17. Nyushka - muzzle of an animal;
18. The name "Lubica" in an abbreviated version sounds like "Buba", which, by the way, translates as "beetle";
19. Brazenly - means "quickly, sharply";
20. An unusual character met in a children's book about mice - "Kuchni bubashvabats", which means "house cockroach";
21. There is a chain of supermarkets called "Rhoda"; once our friend, arranging the next meeting, told us: “We’ll meet again at Rhoda”, and it seemed to us “we’ll meet again, freaks” :)))
22. And the word "party" looks very funny - "zhurka"; I went to the zhurka, and then your wife scolds you with a frying pan all night)
