Skadar Lake – is the largest and one of the most picturesque lakes in the Balkans. We invite you to immerse yourself in the history of this unique place, surrounded by the natural beauty of an untouched nature reserve, and refresh yourself with a swim in the lake! So, let's get acquainted with Skadar lake we will start with a panoramic view of the delta of the river flowing into it and the lake itself.
Our itinerary:
– We will go to a very cozy, small town of Riek Crnojevic on the banks of the picturesque river of the same name and learn that it was here that the first printing house in the Balkans was located!
– From here on, an exciting adventure awaits us boat trip to a lonely island, which is located in the middle of the lake and on which the Kom monastery is located! The monastery houses the only church on Lake Skadar, dedicated to the Assumption of the Mother of God, in which frescoes of the 15th century have been preserved. This monastery was supposedly erected at the beginning of the 15th century, becoming the first residence of Ivan Tsrnoevich.
– On the return trip you will be able to swim in the lake: from the shore or jump from the boat in the middle of the lake!
– The culmination of our journey will be dinner at a local national restaurant “Konak Perjanik”, where you can try delicious dishes made from freshly prepared lake eel!
The tour is conducted in comfortable minivans or sedans (depending on the number of people).
