For many centuries Montenegro fought for its faith. The ongoing threat from the Ottoman Empire professing Islam, the French and Austro-Hungarians who brought Catholicism and, nevertheless, the Montenegrins defended their right to the existence of the Orthodox Church, evidence of this are the numerous churches and monasteries scattered throughout this amazing country.

We invite you on a four-day tour of Montenegro's holy sites. In the ancient capital, we'll visit the Cetinje Monastery, which carefully preserves the right hand of John the Baptist and a piece of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord. We'll also see the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Philermos, painted, according to tradition, by Luke the Evangelist. We'll ascend to an altitude of 900 meters above sea level to the Ostrog Monastery carved into the rock and descend into the caves of the Dajbaba Monastery, founded by Simeon Dajbaba, a disciple of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. We'll sail into the "heart" of Lake Skadar to the 15th-century Kom Monastery, located on an island, and explore much, much more that is so dear and sacred to the Montenegrin soul.
